Hello and thanks for stopping by. My
full name is Andre Michael Maier and I was born in Immenstadt/Allgaeu
(Bavaria) in the year 1973. In 1985, my family moved to Lake Constance County.
Currently, I'm living in
Daisendorf which is a small town about 1.5 miles from the lake.
As a Communications and Software Engineer I'm fond of everything that has to
do with computers and electronic circuits. It's definitely more than just a
job.
Most of my leisure time is dedicated to various kinds of sports. "Mens sana in
corpore sano", so I enjoy going out for long-distance runs, biking, or swimming.
Being a scuba rescue diver, paramedic, and instructor I'm supporting local
organizations that provide emergency services.
There is a great variety of other things I'm interested in, such as amateur
radio, studying English, collecting home computers of the 80s, mathematics,
philosophy, ...
The most important part of my life, however, is neither my job nor any of my
numerous interests, but my wonderful wife Katja. Our wedding took place on May
17, 2002 in Meersburg.
