If you want to design your own web page or develop an application running on a web server, you first have to decide which way you want to go. There is a rapidly growing number of methods, styles, and script languages, which makes it difficult to keep yourself up-to-date. Also, I have made the experience that some really fancy design technologies can cause problems related to specific browsers or operating systems (this fact definitely is one of the basic laws of computer science). Anyway, on this web page I decided to provide some notes on the different technologies. It will give you some inspiration on what you could use and what my experiences are. Since both the number of technologies and my own experience is growing steadily, this web page is always to be considered "under construction". |
